PRESENTATION OF JSM GREEN POLICY
Many of our manufacturers and distributors belong to LEED, a Green Building Rating System Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. It is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for buildings that reduce or eliminate the negative impact they often have on the environment.
Categories we are associated with in include:
- Materials & Resources
- Sustainable Sites
- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Water Efficiency
These areas of LEED are evaluated on a point system depending on the company’s ability to keep within the boundaries of the green standards that are set.
